Greetings. This is my first attempt at a formal, public blog so I do ask that you be patient as I figure this out (and get time to work it).
I have been involved in this industry since 2001/2002 when VMware released ESX 1.5. Those were interesting days to say the least. I am hoping the content I place here will fall into all of these categories.
A little about myself:
ONE OF 55!!
As of last VMworld (2010) I am only one of fifty-five people that have attended every single VMworld conference. It’s truly amazing to see how it has grown from around 800 or so people crammed into a couple rooms to now over 15,000 attendees!!!
vExpert
I have been selected as a vExpert for two years in a row. I post in VMTN as time avails; I am an original member of the VMware Customer Advisory Council (CAC) and have been used quite a bit as a customer resource to various government and public entities. In 2006 I presented at VMworld “Virtualizing Active Directory Domain Controllers” (and yes – it can be done).
This blog site will be primarily focused on the following areas (but may expand as time warrants or if I even see people find any type of value in what I post here):
VMware and ONLY VMware such as
- vCenter
- VDR
- SRM
- vStorage API usage
- Heartbeat
HP technologies such as
- EVA 8400
- c7000 Chassis
- BL680 (g5 and g7)
- Storage Essentials
NetIQ such as
- Aegis
